Autumn/Winter 2012

I'm going to keep it basic, this year. I'm not going to list the legions of loose jersey tops I've spotted in shops, or those dream items. I'm going to list what I need. As I've mentioned, I begin my first full-time job in September, which brings with it my first full-time salary. Naturally, this is a time of spending as well as paying off debt and saving, but I want to be careful with what I spend and assess what I absolutely need.

  1. A very warm, soft boxy coat.

2.  A pair of ankle boots.

3.  Black skinny jeans.

4. A beautiful leather purse - as you can see, I love Mulberry.

This winter my goal is to buy items that will last me several years. Have you started thinking about your winter wardrobe yet?

  1. I especially love the boots you've picked.

No winters to plan for here but I like the richer colours that have shown up in the shops - lots of navy and hunter green, which is fantastic.

It's great that you're being methodical in your spending - when I first started working full-time I planned nothing and as a result I barely saved in the first 12 months! That's changed, thank goodness.

    1. I've always been put off heeled boots because I'm such a slob (and the substantial height dofference between me and the boyfriend). Since Acne released the Pistol boot in brown, however, I've sort of changed my mind.

I'm glad you at least get the colours of winter! I'm being forced to plan spending, as the coat and boots that I've worn for the past two years are pretty much dead. Thanks for your comment!
